On the 14th of November, ZPH School in Dharmavaram, Vizianagaram district, Andhra Pradesh, witnessed a memorable and grand Children's Day celebration. Marking the birth anniversary of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, the event was not just a commemoration but a showcase of meaningful activities that focused on the future of the children and the environment. The driving force behind this remarkable event was none other than Mr. V. Eswara Rao, a dedicated Hindi teacher with a vision to create a lasting impact on the younger generation.



A Visionary with a Heart of Gold

Mr. Eswara Rao is not an ordinary teacher; he embodies the spirit of service and commitment to society. With a passion for molding future generations, he took the initiative to celebrate this year's Children's Day in a unique and impactful way. His vision goes beyond the classroom, emphasizing the importance of nurturing students not only academically but also in becoming responsible and environmentally conscious citizens.

Understanding the significance of collective efforts, Mr. Eswara Rao assembled a group of like-minded former students, now young professionals, who share his vision of service and societal contribution. This team, fondly referred to as the "Service Soldiers," collaborates online to discuss ideas and plan socially beneficial activities. The Children's Day celebrations at ZPH School were a testament to Mr. Eswara Rao's dedication and the collective spirit of his team. More than 500 students from classes 3 to 12 participated in a series of events that highlighted the importance of climate change and environmental sustainability. The day began with a mass plantation drive, where students actively planted 500 saplings, symbolizing their commitment to a greener future. This activity not only instilled a sense of responsibility in the children but also served as a hands-on learning experience about the importance of trees and the environment.

In addition to the plantation drive, various competitions were organized to encourage students to express their thoughts and creativity. Painting, essay writing, elocution, and sand art competitions were held on themes related to climate change and sustainability. These events provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and voice their concerns about pressing environmental issues. The themes chosen for the competitions were aimed at raising awareness among students about the need for a sustainable lifestyle and the steps they can take to protect the planet.
