Atal Tinkering Labs making thinkers

I am very happy to say,  that Atal tinkering lab

activities giving lots of job satisfaction to me. Making me very enthusiastic to do mentoring to the students innovations  . As a lab incharge , since last 3 years  I  had been faced excellent movements with the young students from 6th to 10th grade.  All of them are very exciting to do new things,  to creating new,  to choose new solutions for the existing problems.  I  learnt that  the students are very interesting  to do discussion about the topics and societal problems rather than listening the  classroom teaching on freezed topics.  Always they are like to become active in productive things.  So they are not more interested on passive teaching learning practices.  I  understood that teachers/i need to teach the solid (structured) syllabus through the way which the interesting by the students. Students like unstructured approaches.   so teachers /i need to fallow such methodology.  I  knew that I should come from known to unknown.  But also I need aware that I should come from unstructured to structured methods.  Un Structured syllabus and teaching methods like lecture and demonstration should be included in structured methods like problem solving and project methods.  Specially  I must learn how to teach syllabus in unstructured methods and how to organize class room in these methods.

I n last month third week of the December I was participate in the training sessions at Vigyan Asramam,  pune  supported by the UNICEF and school education department of Andhra Pradesh.  The vigyan asramam director Dr Yogesh Kulakarni explained about how to implement structured methods and how to teach the concepts covers in the syllabus.  He was assigned a project to make the electric car to the teacher groups . Finally rized some questions such as which force is enable to moving car? Why the car stops after some time? How the electricity producing? What is motar? What is net force? etc. It's wonderful session to make knowledge on how to teach the syllabus through the projects and STEM methods.

I came back and tried to implement structured methods in teaching but  45 minutes of period slot could not enough to engage the students in projects.  I learnt to split the projects in to the parts like problem finding,  ideation, review of literature,  designing,  making,   collection of feedback,   Documentation and pitching.   Regarding the ATL Marathon 2023 I was conducted the motivational session for the students from 7th to 9th grade.  Then 60 students  in  20 teams come farwarded with different problem statements.  In ideation stage students use different books,  byjus video lessons in tabs which supplied  recently by the government of Andhra Pradesh  , Google etc for searching or reviewing more information about their problem statements and ideas.  It's way students  involved well.

I excited to hear some solutions from the students about the problems which we are facing like how to develop India  in  certain parameters such as how to increase  GDP

, how  to increase employment,  how to develop relationships among the people,   how to develop mental peace among the people and how to develop sustainable, and environment friendly lifestyle etc. One group of students from 8th grade gave their response in interesting manner.  They said and proposed the half day normal School remaining half day skill school,  and half day jobs (every employee  should  do  work only half day other time they can do which they are interested, )  if so  , equal number of new jobs can create,  then youth can get jobs.  Real democratic social equality can possible by getting the job or work by every one.  Also money circulation will rise.  GDP will rise.  People can get rest for half of the day   . Can spend with their family and can get mental peace.

All these ideas are very interesting   . I feel very happy to involved in such a wonderful session with the students   . It's Every thing could possible due to established ATL S in the Schools.  Really I hope that these platforms will  make positive and meaningful mindset among the students  ...
